SLU-Approved Semester Study Abroad Programs

Saint Louis University aims to make the cost of a study abroad program fairly comparable to tuition, room and board at our St. Louis campus.

The study abroad programs at Saint Louis University enable you to explore the world as your classroom.

Please keep the following in mind when planning:

  • SLU academic tuition scholarships, federal loans and grants may apply to SLU-approved semester and year study abroad programs. They do not, however, apply to summer programs.
  • SLU athletic scholarships do not apply to any study abroad program.
  • Tuition remission, tuition exchange and FACHEX only apply toward the SLU-Madrid campus.
  • Study abroad program expenses will be billed directly by Saint Louis University or SLU-Madrid.
  • Students planning to study abroad for more than one semester need to complete an appeal for scholarships and aid to apply for an additional semester abroad.
  • SLU scholarships do not apply toward non SLU-approved programs; other aid, however, may apply.

Study abroad program fees cover tuition, international insurance, an international student identification card, passport photos and predeparture materials. Coverage of additional items, such as meals or excursions, vary by program, so please ready the inclusions closely.
