One-Time Volunteer Opportunities

Saint Louis University’s Center for Social Action promotes many forms of community engagement, from episodic service to more in-depth involvement. This list of one-time volunteer opportunities will help SLU students, faculty or staff make a difference based on your schedule and interests. Many are perfect for groups.

Tower Grove Park 

What: Volunteers are needed for our Plant It Forward days, a biannual campaign that engages the community in helping to maintain the beautiful display beds in Tower Grove Park. Fall work includes digging cannas, elephant ears and other plant varietals; clearing display beds of debris; and aid in planting 20,000+ bulbs for the spring season.
When: 9 - 11 a.m., most days beginning Tuesday, Sept. 23 through Thursday, Oct. 23.

Perennial STL

What: Volunteers are needed for our pumpkin decorating event with kids, helping them decorate their pumpkins using sustainable materials.
When: Shifts available 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5

Camp Circle Star

What: Volunteers are needed to be a Volunteer Buddy for a camper with a disability at our day camp full of activities, sports and games!

What: Volunteers are needed to assist with our informational booth at the Telemundo Health Fair, handing out information and kits for kidney health awareness.
