Meet the 2025 APM Analysts
Zachary Byars

A student-athlete at Saint Louis University’s Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, where I am pursuing a double major in finance and business technology management. With a GPA of 3.89, I combine strong analytical and technical skills with the discipline, leadership, and time management honed through collegiate athletics. In the summer of 2025, I joined Chaffe & Associates in New Orleans as an investment banking summer analyst, where I support M&A and capital markets transactions through financial analysis, industry research, and client-ready materials. Previously, I gained hands-on experience in sales and client acquisition with FNX Marketing, where I generated over $43,000 in revenue selling pest control door-to-door and was recognized as the top new sales representative, outperforming peers by 107%. At Saint Louis University, I have been selected as an applied portfolio management analyst, actively managing a live $3.3 million University endowment fund. In this role, I have conducted equity research, developed stock recommendations, and will present findings to faculty and industry mentors.
Jackson Doedtman

I am a senior pursuing dual majors in finance (financial analysis) and accounting (public accounting). After graduation, I plan to pursue my CPA license and begin my career in accounting or financial analysis. I completed an accounting internship at Midland States Bank and a finance/accounting internship at First Mid Bank & Trust, where I gained experience in SEC and regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and operational support. My goal is to leverage my skills and education to provide valuable insights and grow as a trusted finance and accounting professional.
Patrick Dorsey

Patrick is pursuing degrees in finance and international business with a minor in Spanish. He began his studies at Saint Louis University–Madrid, where he spent three years before transferring to the SLU-St. Louis. His experience includes internships with U.S. embassies in Spain and Mexico, BJC HealthCare’s Saint Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation, Mastercard Dubai and Enterprise Mobility. At SLU-Madrid, he founded and served as president of the Ski Club, Rock Climbing Club and Photography Club, and he currently serves as founding father, community service chairman, and academic chairman with Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity. Patrick is interested in a global career in finance and international business.
Nick Ford

I am a senior majoring in finance and accounting at Saint Louis University. Over the course of my time at SLU, I have completed several internships. Most notably, I had the privilege of working with Stifel’s Real Estate Investment Banking team in St. Louis. This experience challenged me and further strengthened my interest in investment banking and related career paths. Within the business school, I am an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity, where I served as vice president of professional activities. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue an MBA after gaining a few years of professional experience. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, playing golf, fly fishing, and catching an occasional Cardinals game.
Daniel Gilkerson

Daniel is a senior studying finance and economics with a concentration in financial analysis. After graduation, Daniel intends to attend law school. Daniel has been interested in financial markets since high school, when he joined the Ignatian Business Leaders club. He chose to study finance due to the fast-paced nature of the industry and his excellent analytical skills. He hopes to become a mergers and acquisitions attorney or work in a compliance department of a wealth management or investment banking firm.
Grant Gorman

Grant is a senior finance and accounting major with a minor in actuarial mathematics at Saint Louis University. He spent his junior summer interning with PwC in Chicago, where he worked on multiple tax engagements serving Japanese clients. Grant will return to PwC full time in fall 2026 in the tax practice and plans to pursue the CPA designation. His professional interests center on applying his technical background in accounting and finance to cross-border advisory work, particularly in supporting multinational clients with complex tax and transaction needs.
Dennis Jakubik

I am a senior at Saint Louis University pursuing a degree in finance. During the summer of 2025, I had the privilege of interning with Krilogy, a wealth management firm based in St. Louis. This experience provided me with valuable, hands-on exposure to portfolio management, estate planning, tax planning, and other key areas of wealth management. Following graduation, I plan to pursue a career as a financial advisor and work toward obtaining the Certified Financial Planner designation.
Trevor Kohm

I am graduating this fall as a finance major. This summer I interned with Enterprise Bank and Trust as a credit analyst and will continue to work as a credit analyst throughout the school year. Academically, I find concepts like financial planning and equity research most interesting. This fall I am also in applied portfolio management and am looking forward to putting my interests into action. Outside of academics, I play hockey for SLU's club team, enjoy cooking and watching Formula 1.
Sansh Kumar

My name is Sansh Kumar, and I pursue endeavors that I am passionate about. As a student-athlete majoring in finance, and minoring in computer science at Saint Louis University, I’ve had the opportunity to blend my passion for finance with leadership through the formation of the Personal Portfolio Management Club, where I serve as the founder and president. Looking ahead, my vision is to scale Personal Portfolio Management Club beyond Saint Louis University, addressing the critical need for financial education. Over the past two summers, I interned with Maryville Consulting Group and Equifax, and after graduation, I plan to begin my full-time career at Accenture.
Luca Lo Nardo

I am a senior finance student from Costa Rica at Saint Louis University with professional
experience in financial analysis and a long background in athletics. In 2025, I was
an operations and financial analysis intern at BAC Credomatic in San Jose, Costa Rica.
I analyzed cross-departmental datasets to quantify the financial impact of system
failures in the bank's call center. I was able to identify millions of dollars in
annual losses and recommended enhanced system monitoring, enabling senior leadership
to improve the efficiency of over 200 employees.
Beyond finance, I ranked in the top 300 in the world in ITF tennis and have represented
Costa Rica in the Davis Cup for the past four years, helping my team advance to a
historic Group II. At Saint Louis University, I am the captain of their Division I
tennis team for the second consecutive year. I am fluent in both Spanish and English,
and I have a basic understanding of Italian.
Thomas Miltchev

Thomas is a senior at Saint Louis University pursuing double majors in finance and
accounting with a concentration in consulting and advisory. He spent a year and a
half as an equity research intern at Kennedy Capital Management, where he developed
expertise in valuation frameworks and financial modeling. His professional experience
also includes roles as an audit and assurance intern with Anders CPA + Advisors and
as a global accounts receivable intern at Boeing, where he gained exposure to corporate
finance and process improvement.
On campus, Thomas has taken on meaningful leadership opportunities. As a resident
advisor, he worked closely with staff and students to build an inclusive and supportive
residential community. As vice president of finance for Alpha Delta Gamma, he implemented
cost-saving measures that reduced member fees by 37%, strengthening accessibility
and retention within the organization. Thomas has consistently earned placement on
the Dean’s List and was part of a team that won first place in Armanino’s Forensic
Accounting competition. Post-graduation, Thomas deeply enjoys client-facing work and
would love to serve in any role that helps people achieve their financial goals.
James Reifel

I am a double major in finance and accounting, and I am currently the vice president of the Finance Club. I have been an equity research intern at Kennedy Capital Management since April 2024, and in May 2025, I became the head equity research Intern. Through my internship at Kennedy, I have become familiar with financial modeling and fundamental equity research. After graduation, I plan to pursue my CFA and am actively exploring roles in equity research.
Anna Ryan

My name is Anna Ryan, and I am a senior honors student at Saint Louis University studying finance and accounting. I am a member of Beta Alpha Psi, a finance and accounting honor society, and I volunteer both as a study abroad peer mentor and with NAMI STL, an organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness. I am also a part of St. Louis' RBC Mentor Network as of this semester. This past spring, I was one of the recipients of the NISA scholarship through Saint Louis University for outstanding achievement in my finance classes. I enjoy the idea of helping others accomplish their financial goals by sharing knowledge and resources. This past summer, I interned at Bank of America in Chicago on the GCIB Consumer and Retail team within Enterprise Credit. Through this internship, I learned about credit monitoring and underwriting for large corporations within the consumer and retail business sectors.
Zuhair Saeed

Senior at Saint Louis University pursuing dual degrees in finance (financial analysis) and business technology management, with a minor in accounting. Experienced in consulting, wealth management, and business development, with a strong foundation in financial modeling, strategic analysis, and technology-driven transformation. CFA Level I candidate with hands-on exposure to enterprise value creation through internships at Ameriprise and Accenture’s Maryville Consulting Group. Passionate about leveraging the intersection of finance and technology to solve complex business challenges and drive decision-making. Known for adaptability, analytical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration in both corporate and client-facing environments.
Ryan Schwartz

I am pursuing a degree in finance. I have always been fascinated by the world of finance and SLU has provided me with a great opportunity to pursue this professionally. I have gained valuable hands-on experience through my internship at Synergy Wealth Solutions, where I successfully collaborated with advisors to design and deliver customized tools and visual applications that enhanced client engagement and decision-making, further improving and developing my professional skill set. I am eager to expand my knowledge within the industry and be able to provide impactful results.
Sarah Sprick

Sarah aspires to become a lawyer, and she sees her finance studies as a tool to advocate for small businesses and the people behind them. She is a finance major graduating in December 2025 who transferred from St. Louis Community College, building her path through internships at Stifel and the U.S. District Court in downtown St. Louis. She is honored to have been selected for APM and views it as a vital step in her conviction that the best way to learn is through practice. Outside her professional pursuits, she is a proud weather enthusiast with a particular fondness for clouds.
Ella Stover

I am a senior majoring in accounting and finance with a strong interest in public accounting and finance. I recently participated in KPMG’s Global Advantage Program in Lisbon, Portugal, where I refined my leadership skills in an international setting, and will be interning in audit at their Cleveland office this upcoming summer. On campus, I serve as corresponding secretary of Beta Alpha Psi and am a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Alpha Sigma Nu. My academic journey has also included a study abroad experience in Madrid, which broadened my global perspective. I plan to pursue my CPA and MBA as I build a career that bridges public accounting and finance.
Brian Weigus

Brian Weigus is a senior at Saint Louis University majoring in finance with a concentration in financial analysis and a minor in accounting. A Dean’s List student, he has gained experience as an FP&A Intern at Ryerson in Chicago, analyzing multi-year revenue trends, supporting planning and forecasting, and growing his expertise in Excel and Power Bi, as well as a winter/spring analyst at JEB Capital Partners, where he helped source evaluated acquisition targets while expanding his knowledge of Python. After graduating in May 2026, Brian plans to pursue a career in corporate finance in Chicago and is planning to pursue the CFA charter to further his expertise in financial analysis and investment topics.
Nina Zumwalt

Nina is a senior studying finance with specific interests in market research and financial consulting, either of which she hopes to pursue a career in post-graduation. She spent this past summer as an intern at Commerce Trust, where she had the opportunity to rotate through various departments of the wealth management company, including portfolio management, financial planning, private banking, equity and fixed income research, and more, strengthening both her technical and relational skills. She serves her campus as vice president of finance and administration for the Panhellenic Council, through which she manages a substantial budget for a community of hundreds of empowered women. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an academic honors society for outstanding business students. Outside of work and school, she loves to cook and read, and is passionate about international travel, especially after spending a semester abroad in Italy her sophomore year. Looking forward, she is excited to learn more about valuation and investment management through the opportunities this course provides, and she plans to work toward her CFA after graduation in the spring.
